In the latest video he’s sent to MTV News, Lil Wayne gave fans a little bit more insight to his work schedule over last weekend. With the clock ticking before he’s expected to begin his jail sentence on weapons charges Tuesday, Weezy filmed seven videos in one night — on the heels of shooting between nine and 10 videos in two days last month. In his latest video clip, Wayne says he shot footage for videos by Young Money artist Shanell, Diddy, Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes, Rick Ross — and of course we already know about the videos he shot for Drake and for himself.Via MTV, and I’m really looking forward to hearing some of these songs Wayne has shot music videos for, such as Travis McCoy’s “Tattoo Girl” and Drake’s “Afrika Boombata”.
“Show these artists how to do it,” Wayne says on his tour bus in a clip shot by DJ Scoob Doo and sent to MTV News on Monday afternoon (March 1). “Seven videos in one night. Follow me, artists!”
In the Drake video, “Afrika Boombata,” Weezy wears a Marilyn Monroe T-shirt. He had vaccilated between wearing that or one of his @liltunechi tees. We also know that the McCoy video is called “Tattoo Girl,” and the video for Diddy-Dirty Money is titled “Strobe Lights.”
A early version of the Dirty Money song leaked weeks ago and features everyone performing over a techno-type beat. “When the ceiling hits the floor, I’m gonna find my way to the door,” Diddy sings on the leaked version of the record. Later, Weezy raps, “The strobe lights are dancing/ We’ve taken all the chances.”

Three days, y’all — let’s party!” Lil Wayne said on Saturday (February 27). Now that his dental surgery is done, Weezy is expected to begin serving his year in jail on weapons charges Tuesday, but he’s making sure he’s seen and heard before his departure. Of late, Weezy has taken to Twitter (much more on than in a minute) and Ustream to communicate with fans. On Saturday evening, Weezy and his favorite videographer, DJ Scoob Doo, sent MTV News a clip we’re going to call “Nino Brown: The Road to Rikers, Part 1” (as in Rikers Island, the New York jail that Wayne’s heading to).
In the clip, Wayne promises to grant fans a look at what his life is like as he prepares to go to jail.
Shot Saturday afternoon in the guest house of his Miami home, Wayne had the NCAA game of Tennessee vs. Kentucky playing in the background on his big-screen TV.
“This is for my real fans,” Wayne said. “People who wanna know what I be doin’. I’mma let y’all in.”
From there, Wayne, who recently tweeted that he was giving up Twitter, urged his fans to log on and follow him at his page “@liltunechi.”
“I just opened that up,” Weezy said. “I got almost 200,000 followers. I need more followers. I saw Drake had like 400,000 followers. I need more followers than Drake.”
Wayne then gave background on his nickname.
“My nickname is Lil Tune — my grandmother named me that,” he explained. “She’s passed. My grandmother, her name was Mercedes Carter. She named me Lil Tune. We just threw the ‘Chi’ on there. Like Gucci, I say ‘Tunechi!’ ”
The clip ends with Weezy shouting out all his children, their mothers and his own mom.
Wayne will be shooting footage right up until he goes to court on Tuesday — check back with MTV News for more!
Wayne and Scoob Doo recently released the DVD “The Nino Brown Story, Part 2.” It can be found on djscoobdoo.com.

Video: Lil Wayne Back On uStream With Lil Twist
Last night, Lil Wayne was broadcasting live on uStream with Lil Twist and you can watch just over seven minutes of it in the video above. Weezy shows us his bottom teeth without a grill on, talks to some girl on the phone, tells some guy who mentioned something about Shanell on the chat: “I’ll knock your fucking head off”, and also goes crazy on some guy named Madden Champ. The video is a must-watch and will have you laughing, especially when Wayne starts calling Madden Champ and his Mama

Pictures: Lil Wayne & Yo Gotti Shooting Music Video For “Women Lie, Men Lie”

“It’s a mystery video,” Gotti said. “Women lie, men lie — it’s kind of a mystery video. You’ll see what’s going on and what’s not going on. I’m rapping about numbers. It’s self-explanatory, a lot of things I’m talking about — figures … what jewelry cost, what my deal is worth. It’s just different things where I come from in the streets — a lot of numbers.”

Lil Wayne Has A Bad Day At The Dentist By Having 8 Root Canals
Lil Wayne Has A Bad Day At The Dentist By Having 8 Root Canals

Lil Wayne just had one of the gnarliest oral surgeries in the history of dentistry. We’re told it was a marathon session that included a stomach-turning eight root canals at one time.Via TMZ, and Lil Wayne must be really hurting right now because this sounds really, really painful.
Our sources say Wayne went under the drill on Tuesday.
We’re told during the eight hour procedure, Wayne had his grill worked on, several tooth implants redone, more implants added and had the few real teeth he had left repaired.
This is the critical dental surgery that kept Wayne from being shipped off to the big house last week.
The judge allowed the rapper to put his sentence for felony attempted gun possession on hold until March 2 – enough time for Wayne to get his mouth prison-ready.

Billboard Breakdown
Billboard Breakdown (2/10)

Still riding off Grammy buzz, several artist saw spikes in their numbers. Lady Antebellum tops the list with another 200K sold with the album Need You Now (and the self titled release with 21K). With that out the way, on to the commentary…
2. Lil Wayne – Rebirth – 173,821
- You have to believe this is considered a victory seeing as how the album was leaked some two months ago. With a three week extension, I wouldn’t be surprised if he shot a video for every song.
- Still sitting in the top 10 and I’m somewhat sure she is near the 3-4 million in sales mark. Never heard the album, but I’ve gotta give respect where it’s due. I just hope she signed a lucrative deal. Don’t end up like New Edition.
- The definition of one of the few GLOBAL superstars in music. With a few major performances and appearances, she could probably ride off this album for the next several months.
- I understand the reasoning for shooting “Put It In A Love Song” with Beyonce. The two biggest stars in the R&B realm coming together for one video. Yeah, but “Unthinkable” will hopefully be the single that ushers the spring in.
- If you haven’t heard this album, I suggest you do so. They deserve the success that is coming to them.
- Em is a chart topper regular. That said, all I care about is Relapse 2 right now.
- Congrats to Trey for Ready for achieving gold status. A video for “Neighbors Know My Name” with a cameo from Keri Hilson is on the way. Be on the lookout for Trey on tour with Jay-Z and Young Jeezy. And some music from all three. TM 103, perhaps?
- Yup, all Grammy sales right here. I remember reading awhile back he had two other albums already done to complete his comeback trilogy. Hopefully the second installment is coming later this year.
